Sponge Bob Deluxe!

It's a little hard to tell, but this Sponge Bob has a few 3D effects to him.  I should have taken a picture of the cake from the side, but honestly, I didn't think of it.

There are cupcakes making up his hat, eyes, and the crabby patty to give it some height.

A New Place for my Cakes

Welcome to my new place!  Here I will post pictures of the cakes I've created.  I used to have a web site, but because I'm not turning this into a full-time/profiting making business, I've decided to make use of the blog system and save myself the $10 a month for the web host.  I'm not sure that many folks are using the website anyway.

So, for now, look for pictures here as I take time to upload them a little at a time.

God bless,
Pam

Despicable Me

This story is actually a funny one.  I received a call from a young lady in Austin.  She needed a Despicable Me birthday cake for the weekend of March 5th.  I was shocked to get a call from Austin and made sure she knew I didn't deliver to Austin!  LOL  Just kidding.  She was coming to my area for a birthday party and was helping out the busy mom by ordering the cake.  The long story short of it is this, I knew the birthday boy and his mom.  When it all came out in the wash we couldn't believe how small the world was.

Here's the result of his Despicable Me:

The busy mom decided to surprise her cousin right back with a small birthday cake for herself:

Hunting Camo

This cake was a bit trickier.  All I had to go on was that the little boy liked hunting and camouflage.

My Daughter's Wedding Cake

My daughter isn't a bridezilla in the least, so when she first asked me to make her wedding cake, well, I felt honored.  Then reality set in and I knew how much work it would involve and how busy we'd be that week.  Yet, she insisted I make her wedding cake.  I tried several different ways to get out of it, but could not.  Here you will see the result of the wedding cake and the groom's cake, which I ended up making also.

Step One:
Lots of blue icing!

Step Two:
Stacking 4 layers!  Of course, she likes chocolate and Aaron likes white cake, so I made their top layer half and half.

Step Three:
Getting the icing smooth!

Step Four:
Resulting in a beautiful cake for my sweet daughter and her future hubby!
