Wedding & Wedding Showers

This cake was a surprise to make.  Literally!  I was asked on Thursday if I could make a wedding cake for Sunday.  It was an impromptu wedding at our little church for a couple that had attended a few times and wanted to quickly tie-the-knot.  I said, SURE, as I'm usually game for just about anything.  Without much time to prepare, I think it turned out rather well!

This one is a wedding shower cake.

by accident, but I misspelled the word "friendship."....I think we all had 

a chuckle.

Baby Showers Cakes for Girls

This customer didn't have a plan.  They just needed a baby shower cake for a girl.  So, this pattern I pulled from another cake I saw on the internet.  I wish I had kept the link to give credit, but maybe it will be okay since I am not claiming originality on this one.

Is it a Deer or a John Deere?

A friend wanted a small birthday cake for her buddy - decorated in John Deere.  Lucky for me, Wal-Mart carried some cute toys that worked quite well for a topper.

Baby Shower for a Boy

Baby shower cake with matching cookies!  I used the 

napkin they supplied to decorate the cake.

Baby shower cakes can be fun if you have an idea and a creative plan.  This person wanted me to copy the invitation.  Boy, does that make things easier!!    How cute is this cake with the scraggly grass and hair on the critters?

Little Miss Birthday

One of my favorite people in the whole wide world (and the world is a big place) asked me to make the goodies for their daughter's 1st birthday.  Did I ever feel honored and privileged to share in that special day.


Some layers were white on white and others were white with chocolate buttercream!  Yum!

What birthday party for a 1 yr old would be complete without a famous SMASH cake!

Daddy's Need Cakes, Too

A couple of neat ladies requested a cake for their father.  It was rather amazing as I used some colors had remaining from another cake I'd made.  It turned out the napkins, etc, they bought for the party matched the cake perfectly!  Imagine that!!
